Cardiolipin IgG and IgM ELISA kit is a diagnostic tool used to detect and quantify antibodies against cardiolipin, a phospholipid, in a patient's blood. These antibodies, specifically IgG and IgM, are associated with antiphospholipid syndrome (APS) and can also be indicators of systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE). The kit typically involves a microplate coated with cardiolipin, where the patient's serum or plasma is added, allowing the antibodies to bind. A secondary antibody conjugated to an enzyme is then added, and the enzymatic reaction produces a color change proportional to the concentration of cardiolipin antibodies.
