About CHIKUNGUNYA RAPID TEST
The Chikungunya IgM Rapid Test Kit is alateral flow chromatographic immunoassay. The test cassette consists of: 1) aburgundy colored conjugate pad containing CHIK antigens conjugated with colloid gold (CHIK conjugates) and rabbit IgG-gold conjugates, 2) a nitro cellulosemembrane strip containing a test band (T band) and a control band (C band). The T band is pre-coated with anti-human Ig Mreagent, and the C band is pre-coated with goat anti-rabbit IG.
When an adequate volume of test specimen is dispensed into the sample well of the sheet, the specimen migrates by capillary action across the cassette. The IgM antibody to CHIK, if present in the specimen will bind to the CHIK conjugates. The immunocomplex is then captured on the membrane by the pre-coated anti-human Ig Mreagent, forming a burgundy colored T band, indicating a CHIK IgM positive test result.
Absence of the Tb and suggests a negative result. The test contains an internal control (C band)which should exhibit a burgundy colored band of the immuno complex of goat anti-rabbit Ig G/rabbit Ig G-gold conjugate regardless of the color development on the T band. Otherwise, the test result is invalid and the specimen must be retested with another device.
Quick and Convenient DetectionThe CHIKUNGUNYA RAPID TEST offers a fast, easy-to-read solution for the detection of chikungunya antibodies, streamlining the diagnostic process in both clinical and remote environments.
