Rubella IgM Kit
Rubella Ab IgM fast is an anti-μ-capture assay based on micro wells coated with monoclonal anti-human-IgM antibodies (mAB). The conjugate is a mixture of HRP-labeled Rubella virus recombinant antigen (rAg). Serum samples are added to the wells and all antibodies of the IgM class presented in the patient's serum are bound to the solid phase. Rubella antigen conjugated with horseradish peroxidase enzyme is added and will bind to the Rubella specific IgM antibodies, which have been captured by the anti-human IgM antibodies during the first incubation. The unbound components are removed by washing. After addition of the solution containing TMB and hydrogen peroxide, the wells with bound conjugate develop a blue colour which is converted to yellow after the reaction has been stopped with sulphuric acid. The colour intensity is directly proportional to the concentration of IgM antibodies to Rubella virus in the specimen and can be read at 450 nm.
