ASO Turbilatex kit is an immunological testing kit used to test specific antibodies to streptococcal metabolites for providing information regarding any prior streptococcal infection. It is acceptable for diagnosing non supportive complications of the infections developed by pathogens in the conditions of acute rheumatic fever or post streptococcal glomerulonephritis. This ASO Turbilatex kit is a quantitative turbidimetric test for measuring ASO in human serum or plasma. Latex particles having streptolysin O are agglutinated while mixing with samples having ASO. As per the ASO contents in the sample of the patient, the agglutination creates an absorbance change. This is quantified by comparing from a calibrator of ASO concentration.
